Our Story
In late Fall of 2023, the Colorado Music Industry Alliance founders noticed that while a vast number of people and organizations were working to boost Colorado’s music industry in a positive way, they were all approaching their shared goal in different ways. CMIA was created to connect all these micro-communities, including musicians, artists, venues, radio stations, and other music industry professionals, so that we may use our collective power to achieve concrete results.
CMIA focuses on unity and collective action across the entire spectrum of the music industry in Colorado. By assessing what resources are currently available and making them more accessible, we will play our part in bridging gaps in the current music industry landscape. Together we will foster greater collaboration, drive innovation, and create opportunities for expansion and continued success across the sector.
Our Long-Term Goals
Pool resources for music organizations, artists, venues, etc. and create resources that are not already in existence
Create and support initiatives among community organizations, artists, businesses, etc.
Support and promote funding opportunities to artists and music businesses
Support and advocate for policy efforts that promote sustainability and growth of Colorado’s music industry
