This is a workshop for non-drummers who want to demystify rhythms, drums, beats, and all that noise!
Do you ever wonder whether your song needs fancy/busy drums, or something super simple? If you want it to be complex, do you know why, and what the other players should be doing if the drums are taking up a lot of space? We are going to break down what makes a beat really work for any song, so you can be informed when speaking with your producer, or drummer in your band, or sketching out your own demos. We'll be discussing the beats from artists like Dua Lipa, Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift, and many more- even songs that have no drums at all!
The instructor for this session is online, but you can also join us in person at our Denver studio!
Josh D Doyle is a songwriter, producer, drummer, founder of 3 Theory Music and an artist development coach at 3 Theory U.
